Nottingham basketball lengend Jimmy ‘jumpshot’ Smith has decided to retire from his role as Nottinghamshire basketball development officer for Notts C.C.
He arrived in Britain in 1976 when he played for the Loughborough All Stars (now Leicester Riders) After a season in France, (1977-78) he played for Notts from 1978 to 1984. He Scored 2,970 points in the top division in English basketball, at an overall average of 24.6 points per game. In addition to this he still holds the county and national scoring average record of 39.2 points per game….Quite simply amazing…..LEGEND!
He has been a long standing and valued customer of Central Sports since 1985. We have provided him with many kits over the years, some which can be seen in the newspaper scans.
